Downsizing with space and style in Westbourne Park

To take a dated house with unexpected build challenges and turn it into our client’s dream downsizing home where they could downsize without having to downgrade on their style, space or lifestyle expectations.

Despite some of the challenges that came with this old home upgrade, we worked with our clients to overcome the problems and give them their downsizer’s dream.

With a vision for a smaller version of their loved former family home, we helped our clients change the shape and structure of the existing footprint by bricking up doorways, making new doorways, demolishing old spaces and removing walls to open up new areas. We even converted a secondary bedroom into a walk-in-robe and ensuite for the master bedroom.

With a few serious build challenges to overcome along the way, we collaborated with our clients to suggest the best ways to fix the problems. Our focus was always to help them get their renovation build done right so they wouldn’t have more issues in the future. Our solutions to these problems included laying new slabs to ensure floor levels matched and installing new ceilings.

With the old house completely transformed, our clients are enjoying their new home featuring everything they wanted for their downsizing dream. There are no pokey rooms and tiny living spaces like the ones many downsizers find themselves squeezed into in modern courtyard homes. Instead, our clients enjoy bright and spacious rooms, including a large living and dining room, a full-sized kitchen, separate modern laundry and a palatial master suite.
