Magnificent makeover in Mount Osmond
A complete outdoor transformation with serious wow factor.
The brief
To make underutilised outdoor spaces more accessible, and transform the entire yard area into a modern entertainer’s delight.
The solution
Working with our client, we updated existing designs so we could create detailed plans with build information and suggest newer, more suitable materials to achieve the desired outcomes. The sloping block and existing verandahs presented some challenges with multiple heights and levels, but our refined design solved this problem.
The heart of this outdoor transformation is a stunning wraparound deck which seamlessly connects the front of the home to the back along one easily accessible level. Feature walls cladded with stunning natural timbers frame the large entertaining area, and the pergola with insulated roof provides cover and comfort for year-round use. The original pool has a new lease of life with a complete upgrade to its surfaces and surrounds. New perimeter tiling was chosen to match the feature tiling on the front verandah, and stylish timber posts accentuate the sleek glass balustrading and pool fence.
Additional elements include a new carport and storage shed, Bondor® panel perimeter fencing, custom sliding screens to disguise the under-house storage for pool equipment and complete weed control measures to ensure the overgrown ivy we ripped out never comes back.
“At night, feature lighting provides a shimmering showcase across the pool area, and from the deck, the homeowners have the perfect place to enjoy stunning views all the way to the bay from their lofty hills position.”

“Our yard was underutilised before, but with what the Elite Built team have done, we’ve now got an extra entertaining area and can make better use of the pool because it’s more integrated into the house. And there’s certainly a wow factor. It looks really, really good.”
